In my spare time (ha, ha) I am a volunteer fire fighter with the east Rivanna volunteer fire company in Keswick, Virginia. This is my fire department.
I love being a fire fighter. My husband and I were married in the bay of the fire department.
We have green fire trucks. The traditional red is something that is long gone at East Rivanna. Why? No one really knows it is just something that happened one day and has been like that ever since.
My husband, Calvin, and the fire department, are my life. Calvin is a captain at the fire department AND he is my best friend.
